Calendars

Define the calendars the clinic books on, and who or what each one covers.

A calendar is a named view of the clinic’s bookings. This page defines which calendars exist and what each one includes, so that the people working the day-to-day calendar have the right grids to switch between.

What you can do here

  • Create a calendar and give it a name (up to 60 characters; names must be unique).
  • Choose its composition: either a set of specific staff members, or a single branch.
  • Edit a calendar to rename it or change what it covers.
  • Delete a calendar you no longer need.

The two kinds of calendar

A calendar is built one of two ways. A staff-member calendar lists the colleagues you pick — useful for a team, a specialty, or one practitioner. A branch calendar is attached to a single location and follows it. You pick one or the other, not both.

Deleting is safe for your data

Deleting a calendar removes the calendar permanently, but it does not touch staff records or branch records. It is a view that goes away, not the underlying people or places. If a branch a calendar was attached to is removed, the calendar shows as unlinked rather than silently pointing at nothing.

Who can change it

The list opens for staff with access to calendars; those without it see a message instead. Staff who can view but not modify see the list without the editing controls.

Each person can pick which of these calendars opens by default from their own Settings page. That choice is personal and does not affect anyone else.
